Many have asked.....What does a tour look like?
Short answer is think of it like going to the Science Centre, except the exhibits tend to baaaa and mooo and Cock-A-Doodle-Doo !!! I don't believe in just the standard "here's a sheep, feed and pet it". At the farm you will get the background of sheep farming, what it entails, health standards etc.... And the same for every other animal we have here (Ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, alpacas, cattle, kittens, dogs). We have every typical farm animal here (except horses, goats, pigs and donkeys.....ask us why).
So pretty much we're like Agribition, but an actual operating farm!!!
What about different Abilities?
We will cater the tour to any ability or age.
We can host up to 130 people on site. Currently limiting to only 30 though.
Anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours. It depends on how interactive each group is (e.g. questions), what people want to see an do. A visit here, is us opening our doors to you. We want to make it seem like you are visiting a friend's house.
Who hosts a tour?
Ahh a difficult question. It really depends on who is available and what is going on at the Farm. It could be myself (Josef Buttigieg), my kids, or other staff. Everyone has a unique take on the farm. You will be bombarded with great (or horrible) dad jokes usually. Plus our quirky sense of humour. :)
Think of the Latin phrase "tabula rasa" or "clean slate" in english. The farm can be literally anything you want. We can host parties in our Barn (e.g. Barn weddings), we can host outdoor parties using our tents. We host birthday parties.
There are many extras that we offer that are not found at any other ventue
